Senior Researcher

geoTel-Aviv

A highly ambitious project, Saga is home to a community of lateral thinkers, hands-on inventors and brave technology explorers who share a curiosity about the outer limits of blockchain, and its potential for new forms of governance.

The team at Saga will design the next standard in digital money, a new global currency built on fundamental human values. Saga will partner with leading financial institutions, and already attracts a stellar advisory board of world-renowned experts.

As we develop Saga we find ourselves closely examining the nature of contracts: it becomes clear that currency is only one instance of a contract for the exchange of interpersonal value. In order to properly inform this enterprise, to craft a truly workable monetary model, a broader mindset is required.

To that end, Saga has launched the The New Contract Policy Institute (NCPI), an interdisciplinary effort to redefine and apply updated guidelines for the social exchange of value.

The Institute answers the increasing lag in governance schemes, in light of advances in technology and the widening scope of communication. Our starting point is that the ability to share and absorb data, to exchange ideas between people, has fundamentally changed in perspective of both time and geography. Governance - of all types - struggles to keep up.

Researchers at NCPI enjoy access to the expertise of Saga’s advisory board, drawn from the very highest ranks within their professions. We are proud to have, among others, a Professor of History, a Nobel Prize laureate in Economics, and a former governor of a central bank.

The Institute is growing, now extending its scope into several key disciplines. To this end, NCPI now offers senior research positions in the following fields:

  • Philosophy
  • Political Science
  • Global Studies
  • Political Economy
  • Constitutional Law
  • Sociology

We welcome applications from professionals at the top of their craft, who share our hunger to change the very rules of the game. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong research record and the ability to contribute to a truly interdisciplinary effort.

NCPI prefers applicants to hold a Ph.D, although doctoral candidates who can demonstrate a proven record of research excellence may also be considered. Full time position is preferred. Applications from researchers at all stages of their career are welcome.

Cautious of dogma, NCPI is open to receiving non-conventional applicants. Our wish is that whatever field of study, you hope to someday see your branch of knowledge come to life, as part of a broader initiative.

Requirements:

  • Presentation Level English.
